Formostar Review For Salon Owners Wanting A New Profit Center...
Formostar Infrared Body Wrap Basics: How does it work? It is a targeted heat system that concentrates on the outer body where fat deposits are found. Latex pads are wrapped around target areas (the client is fully clothed in loose cotton attire or something similar).
The wrapping process takes about 5 minutes - when done the heat penetrates to the bones and then radiates outward. Ligaments, joints, muscles are all heated as it reaches cellulite and toxins trapped in the skin. One 60 minute session helps you burn approximately 1200 - 1400 calories.
Formostar Infrared Body Wrap Review: Advantages and Disadvantages
It requires attention from a salon owner or salon consultant because the client cannot wrap themselves, and they cannot adjust the heat themselves. The heat can be intense and therefore you have to check on people since they are pretty much not mobile.
You'll have to check on the client every 10-15 minutes to make sure they are comfortable, need adjustments, or water.
We own two Formostar Body Wraps and we are pretty happy with them because they do produce results and the profits are decent. The problem is that it does require significant client attention. But this may also be part of the 'experience'.
However the biggest problem we have is when a pad gets damaged it costs $600-$800 per pad!!!
In addition, we had to wait 2 months to get a replacement because they supposedly sold out of pads and then had to make new ones. And then the new ones were made incorrectly so they had to do it again. So that is a big problem.
Lastly, it is not modified to work with a Tmax timer so we had to hire an electrician to modify each one for us.
If we had to do it all over again, we would get at least one Fit Body Wrap because the client does all of the preparation themselves and can adjust setting as well. Read this Fit Body Wrap Review for more.
Before You Buy New Read This:
Why not test the market first. You may want to buy a used Formo-Star body wrap system and see how it goes (be sure to sell and advertise aggressively to accurately measure response). If it goes well buy a new infrared body wrap system. Maybe a Fit body wrap?
